1. Our approach to privacy
We build a service for families, so protecting your privacy — and especially the privacy of children — is at the heart of everything we do. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It is written to reflect the principles of child-focused privacy laws such as COPPA and the GDPR.
2. Who controls your data
The Service is operated by Mohib, which acts as the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.
3. Information we collect
- Account details you provide when you sign up, such as your name, email address, and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Story inputs you choose to give us to personalize a story, such as a child's first name, age or age band, gender, interests, and — only if you choose — a photo so the child can appear as the hero.
- Order & billing information, such as your purchases, subscription status, and the currency of your purchase. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our secure third-party payment processor and are not stored on our own systems.
- Technical & usage data, such as your device type, language, approximate region, and how you use the app, collected to keep the Service secure and to improve it.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to create and deliver your personalized stories, run your account and subscription, process payments, provide customer support, keep the Service safe and working, comply with our legal obligations, and — where you have not opted out — send you service updates. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Children's data — our special care
Our stories are made for children, but the account holder must be a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or make purchases on their own. Any information about a child (such as a name or photo) is provided by the adult account holder, who confirms they have the authority to share it.
We collect the minimum child information needed to personalize a story, use it only for that purpose, and never use it for advertising or profiling. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without proper adult consent, we will delete it promptly.
6. Photos you upload
If you upload a photo to make a child the hero of a story, we use it only to generate that story and to support your order. Photos are stored securely and access-restricted. You can ask us to delete uploaded photos at any time; we also remove them in line with our retention practices below.
7. How we share information
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service — for example, our secure third-party payment processor, hosting and infrastructure providers, AI generation and delivery services, and messaging or email providers — and only to the extent needed to perform their function on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell personal data.
8. International processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.
9. How long we keep information
We keep your account and story data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as long as required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time, subject to those limited retention requirements.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive content, access controls, and secure infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also opt out of non-essential messages at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
